Geico RV claim
Geico RV Claim – HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE…
My trailer had been hit hard from a major storm and they sent me an adjuster who knows NOTHING about trailers and the cost to repair or anything about a trailer.
It has been over 30 days now and still NOTHING, no monies, no estimate for repairs, NOTHING. I get the old “STILL WORKING ON IT, IT TAKES TIME”….ok 30 days time???
I am paying a loan on a trailer that I cannot even use and I lost one month of usage.
Once all is settled, I am taking my trailer and my vehicles elsewhere. I cannot deal with adjusters who know nothing about trailers.
Why does Geico insure RV’s if they do not have the correct database, and adjusters?
HORRIBLE.
Hi New York,
So sorry to hear about your “horrible” experience with the Geico RV claim. I sure do hope that you get some satisfaction in the end – and compensation!
Geico is not in my good books, and not just for claims on trailers, but overall they seem to be very tightfisted with claims of any sort.
I can say that from personal experience as well as from all the complaints we get here about them (more than any other company so far).
Hound them like crazy if you have to, but don’t give up or give in. In the end you may have to hire an attorney, which would be so sad, but I think Geico just tries to wear clients down or wear them out so they don’t have to pay.
I always try to get the cheapest insurance possible, but I doubt I would ever use Geico, in spite of their adorable commercials.
Wishing you all the best for a successful settlement. Let us know how it all turns out for you and if they finally give you what you deserve.
Kindest regards,
Angie
